<bone_idol> hello

<bone_idol> I've just been given a 1 U server

<bone_idol> anybody got any ideas for it

<bone_idol> its got 256 MB RAM ..

<bone_idol> no disks

<bone_idol> single P111 1GHZ processor

<bone_idol> and needs a new heatsink

  • bone_idol I've said this twice today .. but I'm quite excited about it .. sorruy for the repetition

<bone_idol> it takes SCSI ultra 160 disks

<bone_idol> has room for 3 of them

<mp> wow!!!

What motherboard does it have exactly, can you identify it here: http://www.crucial.com/uk/ because I think we should probably get some more RAM for it. I guess it could take IDE disks rather than SCSI if we want to get cheaper ones. Chris 20:18, 25 Aug 2004 (BST)

Parts .. [1] I've got 2 x 36.4gbGB SCSI disks that should fit but they need hot swap caddies. $100 each say. You can have the disks if you want
